Welcome to the South Devon CAMRA Website
- Forthcoming Beer Festivals -

Our September 2005 Beer Festival LogoSouth Devon CAMRA organise our main festival annually in Newton Abbot in September & help staff three other festivals locally during the spring and early summer. Our next festival in 2010 is listed below... The other festivals that we support by helping out at annually include the now annual Torbay Coast and Countryside Trust late spring festival at Occombe Farm featuring beers from Devon and Cornwall. We also help staff the Tucker's Maltings Beer Festival in April in Newton Abbot and the Ales of Devon tent at the Devon County Show in mid-May.

Other beer festivals in and around our area are listed at the bottom of this page. Please step forward and contact us if you're interested in helping out at our festivals. We're always looking for extra helpers. Do let us know if there are any festivals that we've not listed.

We're planning to have one special beer from each of the nine breweries in our branch area
with the remaining 45 brews coming from much further afield.

If you'd like to help out at the festival please fill in our staffing form and E-mail it to Bob. Any help will be gratefully received as the festival relies totally on the support of volunteers

Live Band Friday evening and other entertainment Saturday lunchtime.
Food is available for all sessions (rolls, hot pies, chips, jacket spuds) and free soft drinks for drivers.

Entrance

Card carrying CAMRA members £2 and non members £3 which includes free programme and festival glass

Directions from railway station: Follow the main road opposite towards the town centre and turn left just before Wetherspoons. Turn right into East Street at the top and follow the road past the Cider bar and 2 other pubs. The Ambulance Hall is on the right hand side (10/15 minutes)

Directions from the bus station: Head past the cinema with the Market Tavern on your right and turn first left heading towards the clock tower. Keeping the tower on your right enter a short pedestrian area with the Union Inn to the right and turn left into East Street and the Ambulance Hall is on your left hand side (less than 5 minutes)

Camping: At Ware Barton 2 miles out of the town centre but well served by the no.2 bus (Newton Abbot to Exeter)
