The Rugglestone Inn, Widecombe in the Moor, South Devon CAMRA Pub of the Year 2012Welcome to the website of South Devon CAMRA, the local Branch of the Campaign for Real Ale run by a commited group of volunteers who are passionate about pubs, traditional ales, ciders & perries. As a part of CAMRA we aim to maintain consumer rights, promote quality, choice & value for money. We support the public house as a focus of community life & aim to increase awareness & appreciation of real ales, ciders & perries. Through our team of Brewery Liaison Officers (BLOs) we keep National CAMRA HQ up to date.

This website serves to provide information about our activities locally. You can find out more about who we are, our branch meetings & social activities along details of the beer festivals that we organise along with other festivals in the region. We also provide information about the growing number of local beer, cider & perry producers.
Looks like this group has discovered a gem of a brew, Dent Brewery's Golden Fleece, at the South Devon CAMRA September 2006 Beer FestivalWe are very fortunate in South Devon to have over 340 pubs scattered in the many towns & villages across our branch area, many of which serve a range of excellent real ales. Many advertise in our 3-monthly newsletter 'News & Brews' which is distributed to key real ale outlets in our area & will soon be available online. The best local pubs are carefully chosen by us & showcased in the annual CAMRA Good Beer Guide published each September. We also hold a local Pub of the Year competition each spring & the winner then gets put forward to the regional & potentially the national competition if successful.

We always welcome new members. If you are keen to find out more about our activities, help out at our beer festivals, visit local pubs etc. drop us an E-mail, call us or come along to one of our monthly meetings or beer festivals.
